STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION

1.1 In these Conditions:-

“Client” means the person receiving the Services from The Family Naturopath, also referred to as “you/your/you’re”;

“The Family Naturopath” means Katherine Ruane. 2. THE APPOINTMENT

  1. 2.1  Any advice/recommendations given within the appointment are based on information gathered during the appointment and should not be viewed as medical advice. You should contact The Family Naturopath immediately if you have any unexplained symptoms of illness or concerns about treatment.
  2. 2.2  You will mention all conventional or complementary medicines, remedies or herbs that you are taking or have taken. Do not stop prescribed medications without consulting your doctor. You will consult your medical practitioner if you have any concerns about medicines they have prescribed.

3. PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION

  1. 3.1  The Client shall pay fees in respect of the appointment, the level of which shall be agreed between the Client and The Family Naturopath prior to each appointment.
  2. 3.2  The fees include all materials used in the appointment. Any remedies given for self-care will be at an additional cost.
  3. 3.3  Fees must be paid by cash at the end of the appointment or by bank transfer within 24 hours of the appointment to bank account details:Miss K G Ruane s/c 23-05-80 a/c 15195452
  4. 3.4  48 hours’ notice must be given to cancel or change an appointment or the full cost of the appointment will be charged.
  5. 3.5  If you run more than 15 minutes late the appointment will be forfeited and the full cost of the appointment will be charged.

3.6 Fees are non-refundable.

3.7 Upon non-payment of fees according to the terms stated above, The Family Naturopath reserves the right to take action to recover the unpaid fees as well as the cost of recovery of those fees.

4. LIABILITY

  1. 4.1  The Family Naturopath does not accept and hereby excludes any liability for injury, loss or damage sustained by the Client resulting out of the Client’s non-disclosure to The Family Naturopath of any medical conditions or conventional or complementary medicines the Client is taking.
  2. 4.2  Any liability for any loss, injury or damage suffered by the Client that is wholly attributable to The Family Naturopath’s advice shall be limited to such liability as is covered by our professional indemnity insurance policy at such time of the appointment, a copy of which is available upon request.

5. DATA PROTECTION
5.1 In respect of the processing of the Client’s personal data, The Family Naturopath shall:

  1. 5.1.1  Process the Client’s personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation;
  2. 5.1.2  in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation, make available to the Client such information that is in its possession or control as is necessary to demonstrate The Family Naturopath’s compliance with the obligations placed on it under this Clause 5 and imposed by the relevant provisions of the Data Protection Legislation;
  3. 5.1.3  not process and/or transfer the Client’s personal data to countries outside the European Union or to any international organisation without the prior written authorisation of the Client; and
  4. 5.1.4  at the request of the Client, The Family Naturopath will securely dispose of the Client’s personal data (and thereafter promptly delete all existing copies of it) except to the extent that any applicable law requires The Family Naturopath to store such personal data.

5.2 For the purposes of this Clause 5 “Data Protection Legislation” means any law applicable relating to the processing, privacy and use of personal data, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, and/or any corresponding or equivalent national laws or regulations; and/or any judicial or administrative implementation of any of the above, any guidance, guidelines, codes of practice, codes of conduct or approved certification mechanisms issued by the Information Commissioner, or other regulatory or supervisory authority responsible for administering Data Protection Legislation.
